We are writing on behalf of the Richard Bosco'89 Memorial Scholarship
Committee and the Geneseo Foundation to request your support of the first annual
Richard Bosco Memorial Golf Tournament. The Richard Bosco'89 Memorial
Scholarship will honor the memory of an outstanding Geneseo alumnus and friend
who was among the victims of the tragedy that shocked our nation on September
11, 2001. Rich, a Citibank employee, had an 8:00 am appointment at Cantor
Fitzgerald when the first plane hit Tower 1. He left behind two beautiful
children, a young wife, family members and friends all over the country. By
establishing an endowed scholarship at SUNY Geneseo we will ensure he will not
be forgotten.
Rich was an economics major in the School of Business and also a competitive
athlete who enjoyed life. In addition, he was member of the Orange Knights while
at Geneseo. After graduating in 1989 he went on to become a devoted husband and
proud father. This scholarship will be awarded annually to a SUNY Geneseo
student from the School of Business who reflects the leadership qualities which
Rich exemplified. We were very proud to call him our friend and are dedicated to
spearheading this campaign to honor his memory. We hope we can count on your
support to make this effort a success.
On May 21, 2005, the first annual Richard Bosco'89 Memorial Golf Tournament
will take place at Livingston Country Club in Geneseo, NY to support the
Memorial Scholarship. We are requesting that you consider participating in the
golf tournament, helping sponsor this outstanding event, or support the
establishment of the Richard Bosco Memorial Scholarship.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Nick Kompare, Jamie Orzell, Robert Malyk

My Phi Lamb sister and roommate Marcia Stuckie just had a liver transplant and
is still very sick. I think cards and information from her fellow Phi Lambs
would help in the weeks to come. If anyone out there knows where Tuzz or
Gidget is please let them know. If you want to send cards the current address
is:

Please take a moment to say a prayer in memory of
Timothy Connell Sherry
October 1999 - December 2000
son of Scott and Suzanne (Shortino)
Sherry (Social 86)
Timmy's services were held the Wednesday before Christmas. There were about
300 people at the wake, between all of Suzanne and Scott's family and friends.
Many friends that had not been in touch in years were there. The deacon read a
beautiful letter that Suzanne wrote that described the wonderful, loving life
that Timmy had. She wanted everyone to know that he had not been sick and that
his short life was happy and energy filled. She said that he was surely jumping
from cloud to cloud in heaven. Suzanne told friends that she had no regrets over
any moments with Timmy, that they truly cherished him every day.
I would encourage everyone to send them a note or a card. Even if you have
not been in touch with Suzanne in years, please know that she has a huge heart
and it does mean so much to her that people are praying for and thinking of them.
Their e-mail is smssherry@aol. com.
Please keep Suzanne, Scott and Megan in your prayers.
For those people interested in making a memorial contribution for Timmy,
please include your name and address with your check and send to:

charity. The bank will send acknowledgement of each gift to Suzanne and
Scott Sherry.
On a happier note, Dave Magin (better known as Bucky to all you
trolls out there!) is making an amazing recovery after many weeks in the
hospital following a car accident. He has finally been allowed to return home
and is continuing his physical therapy from there. Excerpts from a note from
Stacey follows:
Hi guys - it is really me, Stacia. Where do I even start?
I love you
thank you
I love you some more
Words can not even come close to expressing my love for each
and every one of you. You are more than friends -- you are my sisters in
more ways than one. It just amazes me the power and strength that each of you
possess. But together you are unstoppable. Your prayers and positive energy were
a crucial and important part of the miracle we have just witnessed in the last
52 days.
Your voicemails were all music to my ears and many tears were
shed - just hearing your voices with the most beautiful and inspirational
messages. It was the fuel that kept me going. It got pretty hairy,
scary, & even bizarre at times - but the power of prayer and positive energy
(and of course we love modern technology) prevailed. Bucky is alive. The doctors
even said there was something more than their care that kept him here (and they
never admit that). I truly believe God smiled on our Buckster. Thanks God!
My advice: if you love someone -- shout it from the rooftops,
there is no time for the petty bullshit stuff, 'cause it is just stuff and it
usually doesn't matter anyhow
Well I hope your holidays were as special as you all are to me! Please know how much I love each and everyone of you! It is amazing the
continuous love and support you have given to us. You have waved your magic wand
and made my life so much easier. So many things - your calls, your emails, your
voices, your visits, your love, your concern, your strength, your prayers, your
hearts, your souls, your minds, your hugs, your tears, your smiles - you! You
together are one big magic wand that has made everything OK and let the healing
begin!
I love you!!!
Stacia
